Presidents' Choice Zen Dinnerware

As its name implies, this striking dinnerware epitomizes the beauty that can be found in simplicity. Its distinctive shape and matte finish project an aura of sophisticated elegance as does the impressive weight of the stoneware pieces.

These plates are NOT microwave safe. I have had two of them break on me. The last one literally exploded into two pieces once I opened the microwave door. As well the colour is no longer carried so I have to buy a whole new set of dishes or have multiple colours.

These beautiful dishes are a welcome addition to any table setting. (I used to sell dinnerware so I'm pretty fussy.) They aren't too large or bulky for today's smaller spaces.
The last set of dishes I owned were too large to allow the cupbard in my condo to fully close.
The portion size of the bowls is perfect for a bowl of cereal or soup.
I first saw these dishes in the home of a friend who is an Interior Decorator. Most of her tableware and decorating elements were from an exclusive home decorating store. At least in the past they were. Imagine my surprise to find she'd outfitted her whole kitchen from Superstore!
This dinnerware doesn't nick and mar as easily as my last set of dishes. They are a bit too warm straight out of the microwave, but again, the last set you couldn't even take from the microwave with a bare hand.
Overall, I'd rate them as "Excellent" for form and function. Value wise, what rates above Excellent?
